6 Vegan Cookbooks for Christmas
Here are 6 vegan cookbooks that I recently bought that all would be perfect presents this holiday season.
Introduction
Happy Cyber Monday! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend and is preparing for Christmas. I thought it would be the perfect day to share some of the vegan cookbooks I recently bought. They would be great Christmas presents for anyone who likes to cook and bake, whether vegan or just eating plant-based.
Check out these six vegan cookbooks today.
- Vegan Christmas (Gaz Oakley)
- Vegan Christmas (Audrey Fitzjohn)
- Vegan Asian: A Cookbook (Jeeca Uy)
- Modern Vegan Baking (Gretchen Price)
- The Korean Vegan Cookbook (Joanne Lee Molinaro)
- Provecho (Edgar Castrejón)
1. Vegan Christmas (Gaz Oakley)
Gaz Oakley’s Vegan Christmas is a splendid vegan cookbook for anyone interested in a casual, non-traditional Christmas meal, from gyros to pigs in a blanket.
2. Vegan Christmas (Audrey Fitzjohn)
If you would rather make traditional Christmas recipes, Audrey Fitzjohn’s Vegan Christmas would be an excellent cookbook for you. It has recipes on Yule logs, sugar cookies, and a Wellington.
3. Vegan Asian: A Cookbook (Jeeca Uy)
Vegan Asian: A Cookbook by Jeeca Uy contains a lot of vegan Asian recipes perfect for any Asian food lover, with dumplings, rice bowls, and tofu dishes.
Check out more of Jeeca Uy’s content on her vegan blog, The Foodie Takes Flight.
4. Modern Vegan Baking (Gretchen Price)
If you want to improve your vegan baking skills, I recommend reading Modern Vegan Baking by Gretchen Price. It has many tips and tricks for vegan baking substitutes and various vegan dessert recipes.
For additional resources, check out Gretchen’s Vegan Bakery, her vegan blog.
5. The Korean Vegan Cookbook (Joanne Lee Molinaro)
I was most excited about getting The Korean Vegan Cookbook by Joanne Lee Molinaro because I avidly follow her blog, The Korean Vegan.
This vegan Korean cookbook contains a lot of sentiment and life stories. You can find recipes for dishes like kimchi, noodles, and stews.
6. Provecho (Edgar Castrejón)
Last but not least, Provecho by Edgar Castrejón has many vegan Mexican recipes, like empanadas, queso fundido, and huevos rancheros. I enjoyed reading through it because I know Spanish, but I’m unfamiliar with Spanish food vocabulary.
Feel free to follow his vegan blog called Edgar Raw.
Conclusion
There are so many excellent vegan cookbooks out there that it’s hard to choose which ones to get. Give any of these cookbooks a try this holiday season, and you will surely enjoy them.
I recommend making food with gingerbread, cranberries, and peppermint if you’re into more Christmas recipes. Some worthwhile Christmas treats include cookies, fudge, and cheesecake. Lastly, I’ll eventually have a vegan Christmas blog post with some fun recipes to make around the holidays.
