Vegan EdgeMod Polox Task Chair Review
I bought a vegan EdgeMod office chair while getting stuff for my new home. Here's what I think of it.
Introduction
I bought an EdgeMod office chair when I was getting stuff for my new home. This chair was Amazon’s recommendation for a vegan leather office chair. Here is what I think of it.
EdgeMod Polox Task Chair (Grey Vegan Leather)
The EdgeMod office chair came from a Californian warehouse, and it was made in China.
Branding (3/10)
I’m not sure if this company exists anymore because its website only shows a 403 forbidden error. The package contained a customer letter with contact information and a short greeting. I doubt the email address they provided works because that requires the website to work, and the phone number probably doesn’t work either.
Packaging (5/10)
The box was torn up, but that might be the carrier’s fault. The packaging inside was super messy. Each chair’s parts were wrapped in different things (paper, plastic, bubble wrap, mini baggies, etc.). The box assembly wasn’t much better because it was so disorganized. It was like the assembly line dropped everything in the box without rhyme or reason.
Instructions (6/10)
The general tips and tricks were very redundant. I felt like my mom was lecturing me in this section about minute things that are pretty obvious to most people. For example, you shouldn’t have to remind people not to scratch the parts and make sure you have all of the chair parts before assembling it. The general instructions were okay. They had pictures in each of the instructions, but they used jargon that most didn’t understand (i.e., gas lift).
Assembly (7/10)
For the most part, the EdgeMod Polox Task Chair was extremely easy to make. The instructions said it would take roughly 20 minutes, but it took less than seven minutes. The parts mostly came together right away. I forgot that you had to hand screw all of the screws in before using the Allen wrench to tighten them, but that was my fault, not EdgeMod’s.
Comfort (6/10)
The chair felt okay to sit in for a short time. I’m not sure if it’s comfortable for a longer period of time yet. The back of the seat was short, while the spot you sat in was small. It would be an okay seat for a short, skinny adult or a kid, but if you’re much taller than me, it would most likely be too tiny for you. If you weigh more than 200 pounds, the chair seat may be too small.
Quality (3/10)
The quality was poor compared to its selling price. I paid over $70 for a chair worth $25 at the most. The chair materials were cheap. Several Amazon reviewers also complained about this chair not lasting that well long term. I can’t speak much from experience regarding this chair’s quality, but I’m sure the reviewers are being truthful.
Overall (5/10)
In short, there were a lot of sketchy things about this chair and brand that annoyed me. For instance, the website doesn’t work. The chair is way smaller than I thought it was, and it cost about three times more than its actual value. I will keep this chair for now because I’m not wasting any money on buying another chair.
