Banza Vegan Mac and Cheese Product Review

Introduction

I’ve seen Banza a lot in grocery stores because of their chickpea pasta, which is pretty good. I came across some Banza vegan mac and cheese at Target and knew I had to try it. Here is what I think of it.

Banza Plant-Based Mac With Chickpea Pasta (6/10)

Banza vegan mac and cheese tasted like a squash-flavored mac and cheese, with the cheese’s first ingredient being sweet potato. It was relatively okay, but I wished it tasted cheesier like Kraft Mac and Cheese.

More Vegan Mac and Cheese Options

I’ve come across many vegan mac and cheese options at the store, especially at Target, Hy-Vee, and Natural Grocers.

Daiya Cheezy Mac (7/10)

Daiya has a variety of vegan dairy and frozen alternatives beyond their cheezy mac, from pizza to cheese. Daiya cheddar and Alfredo mac and cheese are delicious. Their cheddar bacon flavor is okay, and their four-cheese option is disgusting.

Amy’s Organic Vegan Rice Mac & Cheeze (6/10)

Amy’s Kitchen has a lot of vegan pantry and frozen single-serving meal options. Amy’s vegan mac and cheese was fine enough to eat the whole meal, but they’ll have to make the noodles not taste rubbery and have the cheese taste more like actual cheese.

Annie’s Organic Vegan Cheddar Flavor Mac (5/10)

Annie’s has a variety of organic products, which include some vegan options. Annie’s vegan cheddar mac and cheese tasted bland because it lacked enough cheesy flavor. Their vegan microwavable mac and cheese was terrible.

Upton’s Naturals Original Ch’eesy Mac (5/10)

Even though Upton’s Naturals is more known for their jackfruit and seitan, they also have a couple of vegan mac and cheese flavors. Upton’s Naturals cheddar mac and cheese didn’t taste that good due to its overpowering mustard taste.

Conclusion

I hope to try more vegan mac and cheese when I come across them in the store. For example, Kraft made some vegan mac and cheese.
